Classification and Quality Assessment Methods for Acrylic Sheets

Acrylic sheets are categorized by production process into cast sheets and extruded sheets. By light transmission, they are classified as transparent sheets, translucent sheets (including tinted transparent sheets), and colored sheets (including black, white, and colored sheets). By performance, they include impact-resistant sheets, UV-resistant sheets, standard sheets, and specialty sheets such as high-impact sheets, flame-retardant sheets, frosted sheets, metallic effect sheets, high-abrasion-resistant sheets, and light-guiding sheets. Visual Inspection: Primarily for transparent and white sheets. Check if the thickness surface appears yellowed and if the surface has pitting or crystalline spots. High-quality acrylic sheets emit pure light when illuminated by white light, without yellowing or bluish tints. Superior sheets also exhibit higher light transmission and are free of pitting.
